Question? Sorry to interfere with your original post. What type of flashlight does everyone use to candle their eggs. I use a LED flash light but I cannot see through the dark brown or green eggs. If you could post a picture and if you remember where you got it I would appreciate the help. I think I have a few quitters my hatch date isn't until April 1st. This is my second attempt at incubating and my first time was not a good experience I have 11 in the incubator now and from what I can see there is development. Thanks again...

I usually use my cellphones flashlight it works perfectly fine. A picture of the shell would help because some dark browned shells can't really be seen through. Also, when you candle, what do u see?

What day are you and do you atleast see the yoke of the egg when candling?

I am on day 10, I could see one yolker which I removed. I assumed the dark area on all the other eggs was the chick not the yolk, but yes I see a bigger blob inside. I guess if they absorb the yolk the yolk is still there, can you tell I am new at this lol. Thanks for replying and giving me some advice I truly appreciate it.
