and thanks sooo much for all the information. as far as my flock goes we were only considering getting at tops 4 hens

i kept seeing the EE's coming up and had no clue what you lot were talking about until someone said easter eggers.... sound very intruiging i shall go look now. anyway as far as breeds go i love the look of silkies but at the same time it looks like all that fluff could get quite messy when muddy and wet lol

anyway i have continued to look into it and have also come across ducks :S i will look into them but i think chickens are the ones to go with... am i right?

Hi, I think the shed for a coop is a great idea. Then all you have to do is cut a door in the side that opens into a fenced in run.
Breed? It depends on what you're looking for. So I will tell you what I got. I have a Buff Orpington, very docile, and sweet. I have Black Jersey Giants. They get real big. Very docile, and have a bit more personality than my Buff. I have one Ameraucana, very sweet bird, will do anything for a treat. I have some silkies, very cuddly, and make strange noises, but really don't get involved with me , so I just pick them up and cuddle them once in a while. My last breed are my Polish. Sweet, cute, hysterically funny at times, very entertaining. I have very calm Polish. I love my Polish chickens. I love them all, but my Polish seem really attached to me.
