Hi I live in eastern NC. And I have 9 guineas. I got them last june. And I had a few questions. I have 2 males. I was told they start to lay in spring. I have one laying now. I'm wondering what time of the day do they lay. Bc I'm afraid to let them out, because I don't want to search the yard and fields for their nests. Which right now I can't let them out bc it's really cold and we have a snow storm coming. Also I was told not to take all the eggs at once to leave one to encourage them to continue to lay. Is that true? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanx yall

Guinias like to have their nest on the ground under the brush
just the way it is but I normally can find the nest because the
males will hand around to keep the female company ......

Once you find out the time the hens lay their egg's it will be
approxamenity on hour later the following day as a rule

My guineas don't get out till 12:00 so I am sure they have already layed.
When it gets cold I take all the eggs and replace them with golf balls or fake eggs to keep them laying.
Guineas are very hardy mine are free range all yr around.

Glad you joined us! It's been so many years since we had Guinea fowl, I can't remember! I think you should ask in the Guinea Fowl section. Enjoy the site!
