Hi! I've been reading from BYC for a while, and finally joined.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first chicks ever on April 1.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now.
We have 3 barred plymouth rocks pullets. The Powerpuff Girls: Bubbles, Buttercup & Blossom. Our soon to be sunflower yellow coop will be the "Plume Cottage."
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Im a big 'research everything' before getting started... Found it while looking for more info about having chicks.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horses; love herb,veggie & flower gardening; raising bees for honey. Hubs loves his guitar and motorcycle.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married to world's best husband who enables my inner animal lover. We Live on a little farm with a big red barn. We share it with 3 horses, a mini- donkey, 2 barn cats, our 12 yr old Weimie and 2 Dobie puppies, and now 3 chicks. We have two great sons, & 5 perfect grandchildren under 6yo. We love having out of town family and friends come stay on the little farm. We both work FT+, and love to travel, esp. To France where we were lucky enough to live for two years due to hub's job. I say we are very blessed; but hubs says we are just blessed to be able to work our buns off!
