Hi I'm Jenny and I'm new here. I have my son's 2 chickens now that he is in heaven and I'm doing my best to learn all I can about them.

My son passed on 3/6/21 at 36 years old and I have since inherited h is s house and his chickens . Laverne and Shirley are their names ( I'm surprised they seem to know that too because they respond) there were 3 but at some point the youngest one didn't go in the coop and we couldn't find her in the dark however, something did 😥 Anyway, I'm doing the best I can and am trying to learn all I can about them so they can have a strong happy good life. I'm very happy to have found you guys now I feel I have some support I am not doing this alone ( although I would if I had to ) but I'm very glad you all are here to help .
I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my Son, first born, he was 35. My heart goes out to you. This is a great group. You can find lots of information on how to best care for your girls ❤️

Hello, Jenny, and welcome to the BYC community. I am so very sorry for your loss. :hugs
Thank you for your condolences, I miss him every minute. sourland , interesting name ..my previous married name was Sours lol , another funny thing is your "broody magician" lol my father was a magician lol along with a special agent for the Fed Govt & a pastor lol I'm glad I found you all because while he knew all about taking care of chickens ...I used to be nervous of them ...( They flap fast and without warning at times lol )

I'm sorry for your loss also, he was my first born that survived, I lost a son during delivery 3 years before his birth. I'm hoping to get all I need to know from this group. There are only 2 but if I end up doing well with them I may get more eventually.
