My guy Tim has had hundreds of chickens, but I'm a newbie so need to do some catching up. We raised 10 chicks last year, ended up with 5 but had to move and give them away. Now in our own home and raising a dozen. Started with 14 so getting better already. Here's a picture of our adorable ladies.

Hey, welcome and I agree with the rest about space, going with the experts as I am new, too, though my chicks are now 16 months old! I’m too busy taking care of the chickens to drop in and read, write and learn here, & it’s my favorite place to go. It seems like yesterday that our little teensie chicks lived in our house! We used large strong boxes from Lowes for the chicks, as we did not have the coop ready and it was bitter cold outdoors. We connected them via chick-size doors we cut out, heavy tape held them together, (careful to keep it out of reach) so they could move around & explore. Best to you!
