(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We were introduced to chickens when my daughter's teacher asked if we wanted to adopt a scissor beak chick from their class project chicks. Unfortunately, her beak was too severe and she didn't make it, but we had already fallen in love with having a chicken. We got more the very day that we lost "Twist."
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Six

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have no idea...
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google chicken research kept bringing me here.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, karaoke, crocheting...

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have a cat, a brindle English mastiff puppy, and a seven year old chocolate lab. I'm a stay at home mom of two of the best kids a parent could ask for and married to my best friend.
