and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.
to have you here with us. Enjoy your time here at BYC!

Hi LynneI'm a 2 year chicken mom from the Shenandoah Valley. I currently have 5 hens as I lost one to a preditor last month. I wish my town allowed more.
, I'm Knobby. I've lost quite a few of my flock to predators. The first couple of times are the hardest to get over, but then I realized that the predators are doing what comes naturally for them. The best that we can do is to try and make it harder on them. Anyways, welcome!!! Is there a limit on the number of chickens you can have? I really haven't checked with my area ruling body, but I've seen numerous others with flocks in the 100s.Maybe see if you can check online on what the rules are for your area. I'm a conspiracy theorist and wouldn't want to call for them to know my number/location, in case only a small amount of chickens were allowed. The only reason to check is that it only takes 1 stinky person in the area.Hi Lynne, I'm Knobby. I've lost quite a few of my flock to predators.
