Hi, I'm new and I have a question about my 3yr. old Tom turkey, I hope someone can help me☺

Tom has been molting and his new feathers are covered with a white coating, he's too fat to reach them and I've been trying to help by peeling them but it's a long process and he's not very patient. Is there anything else that I can do to help? This has been going on for a month now and he still has most of his tail feathers and back feathers covered.

Do you mean his feather sheaths? Like a tube that his feathers are comin from? Think of it as a straw with feathers poppin out the top of. That is normal leave them be.
