My name is Sarah. I have a husband of 15 years a 4 kids ages 14, 12, 9, & 6. (3boys and a girl). I started raising chickens Feb 2nd of this year. I have 11 chickens 9 of which I raised from chicks. I have 2 australorps;), 1 Easter egger, 2 barred rocks, 3 red sexlinks, 2 polish, and one bantam silkie(that I'm not sure is a boy to a girl yet). I have a huge garden and 3 dogs one of which is an almost 200# mastiff. My husband teases me all the time because he "has never seen anyone who loves chickens so much"!! I think I'm in the right place. We live in Clinton, Utah, which is north of salt lake.

Welcome to BYC. Please be careful with the Mastiff, even if it just sneezes, it is likely to injure or kill a chick, because of sheer size alone. Chicks are very fragile.
