Hi! Welcome to BYC! We have eagles too, so we keep our chickens in a large fenced in area (approx 4,000 sf) with bird netting over the top. That has worked for us. A good guard dog works too, but it will take a little time to grow him up and train him, so you might consider some protection in the meantime.
