Not really. If you have a mixed flock of birds that all have normal feathering and are egg layers or dual purpose breeds, they all have the same needs.
I have a mixed flock with about 15 different breeds including half breeds. Everyone has access to the same foods and all roost in the same coop.

Facebook has poultry groups for everywhere, you just have to find ones for your area and peruse down through the posts and see if you find someone selling chicks or chickens near you, or else just post what you're looking for.

Yes, I'm in the Garden Route of South Africa. I did find the SA Threads. When I first found BYC it was on one of those threads so I assumed that BYC was based in SA.

Red Goose is only a few miles from me. I think they only sell Boschveld chickens, which is a mainstream dual chicken hybrid native to SA. They are my fall back plan if I'm not able to find the unique breeds I'm seeking.

Eagles Pride is quite far, so they won't work.

I appreciate the suggestions, and I'm open to more...
