Hi, I'm new.

Hello! The white puffball Silkies are the cutest! I hope you don't have to much trouble finding good stock and your acquisition or incubation goes well!

I know Meyer Hatchery carries White Silkie Bantams and in the springtime their minimum chick order is 3 (but shipping is $50 for less than 15 chickens.) They would be hatchery quality, but I've had good luck with Meyer.

Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!

Hi, I'm Naomi. I joined this group to learn more about raising chickens. I have had chickens for a while now but wanted to get into raising Silkies, and I don't know where to get them. A lot of the places I have checked out have huge shipping fees if you don't buy more than 25. I love the ones that have the big fluffy heads that look like snowballs. I don't know what those are called, can you breed them to look like that? or do you just get what you get?
1 head fluff is a Polish trait
2 silkies are not real chickens, they are feather dusters that can be bought at Walmart isle 12 next to the mops
