Had chickens off and on since I was young. My husband's grandfather gave me my first pair about 12 years before I met my husband.
My husband had a flock when we met but sold those as we got married and moved for work. After a year at our place we decided to get a few pullets for fresh eggs. 2 red sex links
A few years (3 or 4) and breeds later we have a 15 hens and 2 roos, 9 chicks in the brooder. 18 eggs with hatch day to begin in 2 hours. Cream legbars and 2 red sex links.
I've been lurking a while. Every time I Google anything chicken related a thread from byc came up. Figured it was time.
We also have an Aussie and a mini poodle. I'm a pastor, husband does hvac. We have a little girl 2. She named our last additions the red sex links peep peep and bok bok. She loves animals!
