I'm salt testing a hygrometer right now but I can't calibrate it. Will it always be off by the same amount?Howdy RichieWelcome to Backyard Chickens. Enjoy your time here!
The ACCURITE Hygrometer is a pretty good Hygrometer but they need to be 'salt test' calibrated before use. Also, another thing that will help keep the temperature stable, is an INKBIRD T-360 thermostat. You can get one on Amazon for around $30, it's a 'plug & play' device.
Good luck with your hatching endeavors!
'Salt testing' is calibrating the Hygrometer, it should read 75% at 8 to 12 hours of being sealed in a ziplock bag or another 'air tight' container.I'm salt testing a hygrometer right now but I can't calibrate it. Will it always be off by the same amount?
