Hatching
Thanks for the info. I'm pretty serious and I'm looking forward to all the hard work I'm sure it's going to take but I'd love to cut out as much trial and error as possible. I bought my first Phoenix trio from a private breeder and I'm very pleased with them. I'll post a picture of them soon. Quality is all I will consider buying regardless of cost. It's very important to me that any bird I purchase is as nice as possible. I'll only buy from those who are willing to sell me their show or breed quality bird's so I'm trying to research and do my very best with finding the right one's.
As of now I've decided that I'm going to limit my self to the phoenix and silkies. I think even with that I'll have my hands full as I still have my beloved yard birds which consist the ones I listed above. Some of which I might sell some hatching eggs to help with the growing process but I will not be having my daughter show. I will definitely get the book. I do have some knowledge in chickens but I'm a long way off of having a vast knowledge and do not want to make poor decisions.
