Hi I'm from Western KY & never owned chickens but anxious to get our coop tomorrow. Hope to meet some new people :)

This is the only chicken that I know that is completely hairless.

I don't know if you can purchase these yet and it honestly doesn't sound like it would be a good chicken to have long term. I believe their trying to do it as a meat bird, that way it wouldn't be exposed to the elements longer than 8-12 weeks! I really don't think having tis kind in cold or hot weather would be good for it. Is there a special reason why you want this kind?

I just think it's adorable! I've had a hairless Chinese crested and lived the hairless critters except mice snakes etc :)
