YES! I called City Hall before I had the order placed. 24 hens in the city of WC. NO Roos though. But that does not stop people. I was woken up this AM by a rooster. The neighbor across the street does not seem to know the rules.

I'm with gumbii, lets see if we could make a little local chapter of BYC and maybe get together sometime for fun to show off our babies, swap, tell tall tales of how many eggs your hen can lay in a day, and other nonsense.

I'm located in near Laguna Beach and have four silkies that I need to find a new home for. Two female reds, one white rooster and one blk rooster. They're really friendly, four months old and healthy. I can't keep all of them so I'm willing to give them away. Can meet you half way, if necessary.

if i had a driver's license or a car i would go get those silkies... LOL... that's what i would want... somewhere were locals and anyone that has something to do with chickens can all just have mindless chatter... like about local feedstores and chicken stuff... HAHAHAHA... i'm thinking about making a yahoo group... but i dunno if it's worth it... like, i'm going to make one for my local reef club, but we are a legit club... i wonder how one goes abouts making a chicken club...

I'm near Redding CA. I have been looking for a local breeder of barred rocks, americanas, leghorns, and marans, with no luck. *Sigh* maybe I will be able to find someone by Spring.
