hi looking to build my first coop,i need it be long but not wide

im looking at about 4feet wide of a space buy around 50 to 60 feet. i will have my coop next to my house it can be tall around 5 to 6 feet.any ideas on how to make such a coop?thinking about lining the nests boxes along one of the longer sides><. ive never built even a bird house before.

been looking through other coops but they all seem to be wide ><.

4ft wide isn't a lot of space, but if that's all the space you have then it will have to do. how many chickens are you planning on having? and will there be sun to that area? does it get below -10 degrees in winter or over 40 degrees? have you considered a lean to like idea for the house? like this?

ill have 2 sillkies,a silver laced whydot,a polish and 2reds.it gets about 30 in winter and at most (recorded high in 20 years this year is 82) about 70 to 75 tops.yes it gets sun not a lot in some but in others most of the day there will be sun.i love the look of both them no i hadn't thought about a lean.ill need have gutters it rains here a good bite.Thank you for the ideas and links!i will be adding 2 more latter on.

your welcome, I'm currently planning a new coop for myself with a lean to off the garage ( which is due to be finished in a fortnight) and I myself have silkies. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/898901/chicken-play-ground


Make sure that there is plenty of space for them and that there is adequate drainage so they are not walking through the mud ( the Silkies especially) and it will need to be draft free. a poly carb roof/ sides or glass window sides ( high up of course) can be great as it can make it nice and warm, however in the summer it can get to hot but if it is well ventilated/ the windows open and predators cant get in then it can work well
