really have been reading alot about chicken diseases. i just lost a rhode island red pullet with what i think was mites. have another chicken loaded with them. have been getting lots of info from feed stores on what to do. love these chickens, ages 2-3yrs old. need some help, please

The best treatment for chickens is Sevin dust, which is used off label for poultry, but very effective. Good luck!

called a vet. he said to use ivermectin in water.....then follow with sulfa drugs or tetricycline for all chickens. will let you know how she goes.

after watching my "little girl" last eve. she raises straight up on her legs and there is a bulge down below vent. could this be an egg thats bound in there? whats best way to get egg out gently?
