Oh crap, don't do that to me. Don't get me hooked on another breed/type of chicken I can't live without.
It's cruel. Cruel, I tell you!

Got pics?

I got started on them with some badly marked hatchery chicks.... and let me tell you.... NOTHING detracts from the pure awesomeness of bantam Wyandottes. I have dozens of chicks from Andy Anderson in my brooders and I can't wait for them to grow up!

This is a hatchery "Columbian", but I still love him. The Wyandottes free range and come running when they see me and will even try to follow me into the house.

LOVE IT. I have a LF GLW roo, and he rocks. He's got that same, "You talkin' to me?" look on his face. He beats up on our dog when he gets out of line. Me like.

I'm going to tell you a secret. <looks around, lowers voice to unearthly whisper> I'm technically only supposed to have five. I made pals with the Animal Control guy and he wrote out my permit for the 9 I had. I've got more in the brooder, and more coming, but I'm keeping a select *cough* few and selling the rest.

We aren't suppose to have chickens at all

You would think for being in the mountains on 2 acres you could have what ever you wanted

According to our road association we are not aloud any farm animal. Are full time neighbors don't mind and the rest are here a couple weeks out of the year, they will never know

Im so addictive to buying incubators. A good used one comes up on ebay or craigslist and I have to buy it. This has got to stop.lol 6 geese eggs to hatch and 10 incubators ugh. No more OOO but thats right Im bidding on 2 right now on ebay UGHHHHHHHHHHH

Well of course your addicted. It's a conspiracy by the coop builders industry.

At the TSC it was terrible the other day. They had chicks and the clerks were playing keep away with a chick and a friend of mine. My friend insisted on taking the last chick. It was awful.

Then at the Country Max there was a hold up. "I heard the cops say mame put down the chicks and no one will get hurt."

Breathe, breathe

Girl, that's far more stringent than what I'm allowed here in the city. How weird is that?

It is part of a road maintenance agreement from 1990 something. I was when they first started the neighborhood. It also says that houses must be at least 800 square feet, really? Who would have know all of that had to do with the road. Our full time neighbors know ( all 3 of them ) Are one neighbor was wanting to find out if we where going to keep some for meat and that if we ever did he would be interested in getting a few for the freezer
