Hey all!
I'm Zen.

New to the forums and new to backyard chickens.

My wife, two daughters and I are the caretakers for six Buff Orpingtons.
Here is an image of our ladies in their coop. The girls are about 23 weeks along and have not started to lay yet.

This was the first coop I have built and im sure it wont be my last. I have other ideas now after seeing this forum.
I built it over a weekend about 3 months ago with the help of my girls. We didn't really have plans just went off of some images we had seen.
It seems to be holding up well, but we shall see once wet/cold/snow comes.
We are installing deer netting today to keep the wild birds out of the feed.

I just installed a light with a timer for the inside. Anyone know what kind of bulb I should get for it?
Were in Eastern Washington and the daylight is fading fast in these parts.
I am sure i'll have some questions about getting the girls set for winter and such as it draws near.

Hope to have a fun journey here!

Zen
