Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth, I'm 24 years old and live with my family and five hens in the Bay Area. We got our hens almost five years ago when they were chicks and it's been a good, but wild ride. Prior to getting chickens, my family and I had very minimal knowledge of what it meant to raise backyard chickens and being the main caretaker of our hens, it has been a sometimes very stressful time especially when they've gotten sick. Needless to say, in those moments of worry as I try to sift through tons of articles and research, this website has always been very helpful in figuring out what's wrong with our hens and how to take action to care for them. I've always read other people's posts and today I thought, I should just join this forum and be more active in it so here I am! Nice to meet you all!
