Hello Everyone!

My name is Laura and I have been wanting chickens since I was a kid raised on Little House on the Prairie books. My dream is to have a little farm of my own where I can be as self-sustainable as possible. As the years tick by, I think the scope of my dream needs to shrink a bit to fit what I am up for doing when the time comes that I could put together a little farm. I may be 60 when that happens.

For now I have 3 friends with chickens and I have neighbors with chickens. I have a hydroponic shed in my back yard for growing fruits and vegis and I am co-owner of a banded cricket farm in Minnesota. We supply feeders for the reptile and amphibian market and... you guessed it....chickens! I love when what I affectionately call "my chicken people" come in because they LOVE getting their girls live and freeze dried crickets for a good protein and amino acid snack.

I have 2 girls, one graduating this year and one is 16 and 2 grandbabies from my bonus-daughter that are 5 and 3. Life is good. I love animals and people and plants and I just want everyone to have what they need to be happy and healthy and for everyone to get along.

Thank you for having me!
