Hi! New here. And new to raising chickens. This is going to be a loaded post. I have a mixed flock, that has diminished from 10 to 7 due to coons. And I recently inherited 3 assorted bantam from a friend...of which one remains (again, due to coons). The only remaining of the bantams is a Japanese rooster. And I already have a Cochin rooster in my initial flock and I know it’s HIGHLY UNLIKELY...but does anyone have any ideas on how to get him accepted into the other flock? Or help him create his own? I have an Amerecauna and bantam hen that free range all day (all the others stay in the run) so I was wondering if he could pair up with them?
2nd question: My pullers are 18 weeks this week. 2 began laying last week, my isa brown (Lucy) and black sex link (Shelly). The isa brown started first and laid every day until 3 days ago, and now, nothing. Is this just her getting used to laying or is this probably going to be common for her? The black sex link has laid everyday since she started (a day after Lucy).

I know that’s a long post with a lot of info and a lot of questions (and probably confusion) but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

2 of my ISA started early so it's not unheard of.

As for slacking off they will and can do it in summer due to the heat.

Can't help ya with the roo, I only keep one at a time. When he starts getting old he gets replaced with one we hatch out to replace him.

Thanks! I don’t f

Thanks! I don’t figure there’s any hope for the roo...but thought I’d ask.
