This is my Alfred. He's 5 1/2 months old today. Good news. He started foraging more today and showing interest in his pool again.

Question. He is a big duck. Wondering what other breeds would make a good companion for him.

Buff Orpingtons for one, Rouen , white layer although one breed I have are Muscovy and my drake is around 12 lbs my females 5-6 so pretty big difference in size just don’t think I’d pair him with a Runner or Call. Alfred is gorgeous!

@Sourmug He's a beautiful boy!!! I agree with Miss Lydia - Buff, Rouen, white layer hybrid - or Silver Appleyard and Pekin too! So many choices.

@DuckyDonna Congratulations on the new baby! He definitely stands out but in a very nice way He's going to have such a great time in a month or two with all those girls - he's going to think he died and went to Ducky Heaven!

thanks, he had a really good day today. He figured out the water buckets! He had almost his whole little self in it once he figured it out! He's such a doll baby! The girls all love him especially Dilly!
