Hello and welcome to BYC! Don't have pictures from last year only this year I'll put those Pictures up in a bit thanx for the info Is it possible your lighter colored birds may be red sex links? If you could photos of your RIR's (showing the 2 different shades of red), that would be helpful. @Cynthia12 makes a good point, even within the same breed, there can be some variation of color. Yes I get my chickens from a small store that sell many types of pure bread chicken breeds most of the chickens I get like the buff Orpington look purebred but the RIR seems too light red and not as large as the buff Orpington kinda small so I'm really uncertain over this
