Just wanted to repost my "hello" to all. Being new, I inadvertently posted a hello in the main forum...so very sorry
I am just becoming a chicken Mom again, after 20 years, or there abouts. Wow have things changed
I thought I had a pretty good grip on this raising chicks, and having a flock thing, but am learning sooo much from all of you and it's a lot of new stuff I didn't know! Guess even an old bird can learn new things, pun intended
I have 15, straight run, barred rocks coming in a little less than 2 weeks and am getting ready...thought I WAS ready and read some more on here and had to head out to the Farm and Tractor store again today for hardware cloth for the top of my cardboard chick box. Sorry, don't know all the new terms yet, but will try hard to learn them
I am a shoestring chicken Mom which means I am looking for materials, free or cheap, to build my coop, here in Northern New Hampshire. Anyone in my area willing to help out? Or maybe an old shed, cheap or free I can repurpose? Thought now would be a good time to ask? Hope so and hope I didn't just step in it?
I did stop today at a few places intown and can get some pallets and partial wood boxes free if they have any when the truck owner get's back. Have to borrow a truck
Well, that's my Hello and shout out for help too. Really love this site and forum. So much info to learn from and many ideas too! Oh, and Happy Belated Mothers Day, to all the Mom's out there
