My main reason for joining is to find a community that buy a, sells, and has real Las Vegas area experience with chickens. I am slowly installing a garden and have had problems with bugs eating my goods. Also I want to teach my kids to raise animals. We already have a shelter for the chicks and I will be planting plants they like to nibble on. The backyard is large, plenty of shade, and hidey holes. Also going to get a guard goose. But I need a place to start where I'm not wasting my money. Friendly chicken loving people who care will make this new journey so much easier.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
