How old is it? It still has chick fluff and no obvious comb, so you have to wait. Some breeds can be feather sexed, but that has to be specifically bred for, and as Javas aren't a sex-link or auto-sexing breed you can't tell.
Usually around 4-6 weeks you'll start to see redness in it's comb if it's a cockerel.
 
Welcome to Backyard chickens. I recognize your chick from "what breed or gender is this." After a few weeks please post new photos it's best if the bird is standing on it's own.
Also a good shot from the front showing head and any comb growth.
