Hi new to keeping chickens

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
They do not need direct sunlight to lay, just longer daylight hours. They should have access to shade at any time during hot weather but they love to sunbathe in all temperatures too!


Thank you so much. I live outback remote QLD and the weather right now is nice out (well if you like anything under 30 degrees) and thought when it gets warm here (44-52) they won’t want to be out in that all day..
