Hi,
Brand new to this whole chicken/farming thing..slowly making our little piece of land 'ours' and enjoying all it has to offer. Hoping to some day be a total working farm, and have our 5 (and counting) children help us out living off the land.
Just adopted our first chickens ever! 1.5 years old (im pretty sure they are plymouth rocks). A friend called and said they were going tp be slughtered cuz their owners were moving and couldnt take all 30 chickens they had, so we adopted their 15
plus one rooster. we have had them 36 hrs and they laid their first eggs yesterday! exciting! Here to learn as much as we can because we are so new at this!
