Hello! We are rolling into the chicken world fast, probably a prime example of chicken math. (So we have 12 chickens, we'll get 8 more. So that's 12 x 8 = 96) Wait - what happened??

Initially we had intended to breed less common species of ducks on our off-grid property in western NC, which brought us into also having less common species of chickens. We love working with animals and being able to share this joy with others too.

In total, we have about 45 chickens with many more "on the way" in their eggs.

Many of our breeds are Swedish/European which aligns with my ancestry and future vision of a "Nordic homestead" feeling around our property.

Our Breeds Thus Far:
Swedish Flower Hen, Silverudd Blue, Breda Fowl, Black Copper Maran, Svart Hona, Olandsk Dwarf, and Shetland Hen

Looking forward to sharing and learning from others here. :)
