I live in the middle of Michigans lower Peninsula.
I have 7 hens for working pets (they do make nice pet's) and their eggs are a welcomed addition. Our garden benefits from the fertilizer they produce. My flock consists of 1road island red, 3 whyindots, 1 lavender Orpington, and 2 black Orpingtons. All are hens of laying age.
I enjoy living out in the country, gardening, canning, hiking, woodworking and sewing.
