Congrats and welcome, since I'm newer here than you best of luck with your new home and getting chickens. EEs are great. On the size lot you have, with 8 chickens, you probably won't have any grass left by summer's end. 4 chickens might be a better size to start out until you see how that works. One of my uncles used to live in Debary, but now lives in Alabama.

I was going to seed everywhere with grass seed but what's the point? XD I'm an avid gardener too so I'll have to fence my crop really well. I've got a lot of fruit trees - every citrus you can think of and celeste figs. Hope chickens like em!
