Just started keeping a couple of chickens . First one I got off my dad ,who has had chickens for years, as it's mother rejected it . Turns out to be a rooster . Luckily we have a friend with a farm where he can go and rule the roost . By this time I have the chicken keeping bug and want more so my dad brought me two more little ones to bring up . Not sure at two weeks but I think one of these may be a male too ! Both make different sounds and this one is a bit of a bully although three days younger , also the comb is a little more prominent . We have made a home in our garden and a good size run as I only want to keep two chucks ideally for pets and eggs . I will be gutted if one of these babies is male too .

The same here. What kind of chicks do you have. I currently have a Cochin trio. But hope to eventually have mille fleur d'uccle, golden sebright, polish bantam, and sultan bantam. We all start somewere. Lol. But would like to keep their breeds true as I can. You have any pics of your little one's.

Thanks everyone . Will get some pics up today . Not sure of the breed but my first big lad is larger red bird . Just put him out in his new house and run . My two little ones are small maybe some sort of bantam and light in colour .

I was gonna get some silkies or polish but the main reasons I want a couple of hens was for pets and eggs . So decided against getting pure breeds . Would just be happy with girls lol !
