    Hi everyone,

I am Gilgoul from the Golan Heights, with blistering hot summers, coldish winters, and a complete newbie.
I am looking forward to learn plenty and share my trials and, hopefully not too many errors on this group.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I'm wondering what kind of chickens can withstand blistering heat? Generally chickens can tolerate cold much better than heat.

G’Day from down under gilgoul [IMG] Welcome!

I confess to having to Google ‘Golan Heights’. A quick glance at your temperatures reveal that they could be similar to ours here in Queensland, Australia? Probably more of a dry heat though as compared to our humid heat?

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
