Thank you for your advice. I was thinking about doing that. I don't want to find myself with a bunch of chickens and no place to put them :) . Do you know of a good chicken coop plan?
I just modified an old shed that was on my property. But you want far less birds that I house.
If you have any carpentry skills at all, it's simple to just build a shed style coop and add nest boxes, windows and a pop door. All spaces between the rafters are covered in 1/2" hardware cloth with complimentary gable end peak and roof ridge vents for year round ventilation. I'm not sure what you have available in Spain. The only other member I know here that lives in Spain deals with extreme heat. You could also consider building an open air coop.
I suggest you brew a pot of coffee and peruse the coop articles.

Hi there,

Well, I live in Northern Spain, so think Washington State climate. It can be rainy , and the other day I saw frost on the grass. Temps in the summer are about 70 F. Thanks again for all the advice!
