Hi! I have two pekin ducks, a hen and a drake. They are 10 months old.
I am very new to having ducks, and constantly learning new things. Our little girl has been laying eggs for a few months now and has recently gone broody! Everyday I am fascinated by these little creatures and how / why they behave that way. Alongside that, we are also incubating eggs.
Yesterday one of the little eggs hatched!! She is precious, friendly and very fluffy. She doesn't take too kindly to being alone, particularly in her brooder, after-all, ducks are social animals. So I hope her siblings hatch soon!
They are my first and only pets so far! I hope to get some goats, cattle and lamb and other duck breeds in the future.
I have been looking at this site ever since I have gotten them, for advice and assurance, so thank you for the community that this is.
Talk soon!
