(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens off and on since 2007
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
9.. but planning on more this summer.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I currently have Barnevelders, Lavender Wyandottes, a cuckoo maran, a speckled sussex..
Summer (if they hatch) i'll have black copper marans, mossy/olive eggers, and ermine amerucanas
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They're beautiful, fun to watch, and reasonably easy to care for.. and all the gorgeous egg color options!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I raise boer goats, enjoy my horses, gardening, off roading or going to the beach with my family. I also like to crochet.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Family of 4. We have dogs, cats, goats, horses, a pony.. and occasionally a steer or 2. And all our chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found it on google. Known about it for years. Just finally got around to joining.
