Do you free range them or have them in pens? That must take up a lot of space if you have to pen raise them!

we have a very interesthing set up we have 3 21 feet by 10 feet green houses that we modified and secured with hardware mesh, shade cloth on the top and plastic all around for when it gets to cold to of the green houses are like that plus it has a drain ditch the 3rd green house is a secure run and there is a door that opens up to a huge fenced orchard that they can do their chicken stuff you can see all of it in the joyce farm chicken coop co-op group on facebook

Where do u live that they could live all year in a green house?

we also have on separate areas 5 turkeys and 2 ducks the turkeys are free ranged but they go inside at nigth and the ducks i just got them yesterday so i got to spend some time with the and train them

i live in oregon and we have predators so we have to keep them like that they are fine with it and i build cages so i have a few chickens in cages that are still small and alll that
