Hi there. I am not sure if I ever did an intro on here or not. I have been reading the community for a while. We moved into a new house (new state) over the summer and we bought a small farm with about 6 acres. After many years in a development, I was thrilled to be able to do a little homesteading.
We are brooding some baby chicks now - our first! We have 13 Rhode Island Reds that we got at a day old from our local Farmers Exchange store. (Kind of a strange number but when I called to order a dozen, they had 13 left so I just took them all) We got them at about 2 days old. I homeschool my girls so this has been a wonderful learning experience for all of us.
I am looking forward to reading more and learning more as we go.
Take care.
