Hi,I'm new to keeping chickens but for the past few weeks I've researched allsorts to learn and have come to the decision of getting a 20 weeks old warren and a light Sussex I am just wondering what you all think of my hens and what advice you could all give me on looking after these breeds??

Lovely couple of hens you have there!! Have you stopped by our learning center yet? Lots of helpful tips and hints on caring for your new flock....https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Make yourself at home here and if you have any specific questions about your hens, feel free to ask around the forums.

Welcome to our flock!

I have had both over the past 5 years, and they are both very nice birds!! Both very good egg layers, I had 2 of my warrens go broody, which was very strange as they have bred the broodiness out of them, but I had hatched chicks, and I just gave them 6 each, and they were very good and looked after them well, they basically adopted them lol!! The light Sussex are also good egg layers, and I had one of them go broody aswell, and she hatched chicks out as well, so overall they are both a very tame gentle and kind bird :) good luck and welcome to BYC!!

I have just bought them today they are 20 weeks old and he said he is getting one egg a day because he's being feeding them on just wheat.
