HI to all just about ready for my hens

Hi everyone I am Lacy Morgan I am in Arizona on five acres. Have the coop built and the post in. Just need to get the fence up and it's egg time. So far I have a rooster don't know the breed yet. My neighbor said he had to find a new home like now, so I took him. He is very gentle and a joy to be around. He was fighting with her turkin so he had to go. I posted a photo of him to see if anyone know what he is and one of the coop so far.

My chickens will be free range during the day and safely tucked away at night.

Have you decided on what breed of hens you're getting? Lots of helpful info on here

no not yet. I want to get good solid egg layers and then some roasters which I will keep in a separate pen I am building on the back. We will also get some guinea hens and turkeys that will go in the back pen not sure on pheasants yet.
 
Ty he is a doll so gentle and calm confused on when to crow LOL but he is still a gem. It has been guess by one person here that he is an easter egger or amerucanu
 
Welcome to BYC, Lacey. Glad you decided to our flock. I went over and looked at the pic of your rooster, and he is definitely an Easter Egger. The greenish legs are a dead giveaway. True Ameraucanas have slate blue legs. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your hens.
