My name is Cheryl but I have 8 small rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats so wepaws4 is my ID. My grandparents and parents always had hundreds of chickens, egg producers but I remember Mom butchering them too. I assisted with the plucking of the feathers after dipping! Myself I can never kill them, they are my babies. I have had small flocks in the past and now have downsized. I have dealt with pasty butt and now I'm dealing with scissor beak. Never lost a chick until this month. Anyhow we are snowbirds so it should be interesting traveling to Florida with 8 dogs, 2 cats and 3 chickens. Any tips would be appreciated!!
 
Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Traveling with birds isn't too hard. I have caged them with and without covering them. Depends on the bird. Stop often and feed and water them. They will do fine.
