Hi, We're new here

We are The Belen Family. My husband, our three children and I had recently got 5 (2 week old) chicks. We want to raise chickens for eggs. So we're hoping some or at least one of our baby chicks are a hen. We got 1 Silkie, 2 Easter-Eggers and 2 Rhode Island Reds.




It's nice to read that a lot of you are new and are going through this adventure with us.

From the photos, I'm not seeing any obvious rootser signs, though it is far too soon to be sure that they are females.

Cute chicks! It is too young to tell gender with them, especially with the Silkie. Once they reach 8+ weeks, though, you can post some photos of them in the What Breed or Gender is This? section of the forums (What Breed Or Gender is This?), and we should be able to help sex them.

Hopefully, you get some lovely pullets!
