Hi! White rock hen or roo?

Hi everyone, I have an eight week old 'white rock' from a feed store. I haven't typically seen a comb this red in a pullet this early, but wondered if there was a chance this breed develops faster? Any thoughts? The buff orpingtons are about the same age.

Thanks for your help! I thought he looked a lot like my Delaware hen - but she isn't barred per se, looking at Delaware pics I see why the above one is barred. Below is our hen (along with the new guy).
