I have wonderful neighbors that are all willing to put up with a few cackles now and then, Thankfully.

I worry , though, because my girls just started laying a couple weeks ago, and boy are they vocal about it!
Is there anyone out there from my area that also live in an HOA that can give me some heads up if I start to have problems?

Love , Love , Love my little girls, their eggs are yummy and don't want to have to get rid of them!

Is there a certain coop design that will muffle their noise when laying that will work for both summer in our oven out here and winter such as it is?

Hopefully you can keep your chickens, fresh eggs are alway the best, but you know that if you just want eggs for eating you don't need a rooster...

Hi and :welcome

You should check out the Where am I, where are you section, to find peeps who are near you. All the states have their own thread which members who live there chat together on. :p

As for vocal hens, there's not much you can do about that. Hens shouldn't be too much of a problem because they only cackle after they've laid an egg, and that isn't at some ungodly hour in the morning!

But good luck anyway. :)

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D
