My name is Kat and I have had Chickens and Ducks for the last 5 years. We lost our first 5 chickens to a fox because we were so new and had not discovered a forum such as this one. We have a mixture of Chicken breeds (Plymouth Rocks 2, Easter Eggers 2, and 1 Olive Egger. We had 2 Olive Eggers but one turned out to be a VERY aggressive Rooster that had to leave our flock) We have 4 Ducks 3 Mallards and 1 Harlequin. I joined Backyard Chickens because even though we have been doing this for 5 years we can always use new advice and tips on raising our flock and maybe just maybe I can help a newcomer to the joys of backyard chickens avoid some of the things we learned the hard way.
