Welcome to BYC!
I think buying one day olds tends to be cheaper and higher success rate than hatching. More assured they are alive and healthy. Plus can vaccinate against Mareks. Good Luck!

I like getting fwrtile eggs better. You gwt to expiriment with incubating and watch the chicks grow in the egg.
Thank you for accepting me. We have been raising chickens on and off for many years. We started when our girls were in 4H. They are now grown 28 and 30.We live in Northwest Ct. I love my chickens, they are more pets than anything. I have an assortment of mixed breeds. I'm trying to decide if I should get fertile eggs or buy chicks this year. There are pros and cons on both sides, but I would love to hear what others think. Thank you in advance for your opinions.
